The Mailosaur alternative with a free plan.
Same test loop: send to a sandbox address, wait for the email, assert on it. Start free instead of on a trial, and give the whole team separate inboxes for less than one Mailosaur seat.
- No credit card needed
- EU-hosted
- Plain SMTP, any language
- free plan with no time limit
- $0 vs trial
- 5 teammates with separate inboxes
- $12 vs $62.50
- client screenshots in the plan
- Yes vs add-on
- official MCP server for agents
- Hosted vs DIY
What you get for less
A sandbox per environment, a login per teammate
Mailosaur's Personal plan is one user and one inbox; separate inboxes start on Core at $62.50 a month. Mailloop Basic is $12 for 5 sandboxes, 5 members and 2,000 emails, and there is no daily cap to hit on a busy CI day.
Waiting for an email with Mailloop
import { MailloopClient } from '@mailloop/sdk';
const client = new MailloopClient({
apiKey: process.env.MAILLOOP_API_KEY,
});
const email = await client.emails.waitFor(sandboxId, {
to: '[email protected]',
timeout: 20_000,
}); Waiting for an email with Mailosaur
const MailosaurClient = require('mailosaur');
const mailosaur = new MailosaurClient('YOUR_API_KEY_HERE');
const email = await mailosaur.messages.get(
'SERVER_ID',
{ sentTo: 'anything@SERVER_ID.mailosaur.net' },
{ timeout: 20000 }
); Client screenshots in the plan, not an add-on
Render a captured email in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and more, light and dark, from the dashboard, the API or your agent. Gmail web is on the free plan and every client from $12. On Mailosaur, previews are an add-on to the Core plan.
An official MCP server, signed in with OAuth
Claude Code, Cursor, claude.ai and ChatGPT connect to Mailloop's hosted MCP server through the browser. The agent creates a sandbox, waits for the email and reads its links, with no API key in a config file.
Run the password reset flow on staging and check the email.
The reset email arrived and its link works.
