Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mailloop ("we", "us", "our"), an email testing and SMTP sandbox service available at mailloop.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Google, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy by completing the sign-in flow.

1. Service Description

Mailloop provides developer tooling for testing transactional and marketing email: SMTP sandboxes that capture messages your application sends so you can inspect, preview, and debug them without delivering to real recipients. Features and usage limits depend on the plan you select.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account, including credentials, API keys, and SMTP passwords. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

3. Acceptable Use

Mailloop's SMTP endpoints are strictly for testing email you legitimately produce. You agree not to:

  • send unsolicited bulk email, spam, phishing, or malware through any Mailloop endpoint;
  • use the service to relay mail to recipients who have not consented;
  • probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security or integrity of the service;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the service except as expressly permitted;
  • store unlawful, infringing, or CSAM content, or content that violates a third party's rights;
  • interfere with other customers' use of the service, or exceed plan limits in a way designed to circumvent billing.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice when necessary to protect the service or other users.

4. Plans, Billing, and Refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payments processor Polar. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the email content you send through Mailloop. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store that content solely to operate the service (capture, preview, search, retention as described in our Privacy Policy). We will never use your email content to train AI models, share it with advertisers, or sell it.

6. Account Termination and Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request. After the grace period expires, your personal data is permanently deleted except where we are required to retain specific records to comply with legal obligations (billing records, security logs). See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.

We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms, extended inactivity on a free plan, or if we are required to do so by law. We will give reasonable notice where possible.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, release updates, or modify features at any time. See our status page for current uptime.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mailloop's aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you may close your account before they take effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence continue to apply. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer forum rights.
